these are my work pants, therefore always a work-in-progress.
I found these trusty Levi’s at a thrift store in Flagstaff. It was about 6 years before they started needing to be mended. first a blown out knee, then upper thigh. I deeply enjoy that this is a constant project and the intimacy that comes from being responsible for the longevity of these beloved pants
3 years of work have been bordered by 3 rows of black - this piece is now finished.

as I write this my spirit shawl is still a work-in-progress.
inspired by several friends this piece has become my experiment lab for freeform crochet and focus for anxiety relief (simple patterns when I want to let my mind wander vs more complex when I intend to become absorbed in the process).
